The last course at the top may need to be rip cut if the roof is not in 4 foot increments. Place a pitchfork flat garden shovel or shingle scraper under the shingle.

Most homeowners would probably ask is that important if your home was built before 1970 that answer is likely yes. This is what is called re sheeting. When doing a roof replacement project there s a chance that your contractors will propose to remove the existing roofing material and re sheet it with plywood. This step is known as roof re sheeting.

Begin applying the sheets from the bottom of the roof the eaves and work your way up to the ridge.
